Yerevan needs to overcome existing problems and work to bring stability to the region, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a briefing, answering a question from News.ru, Report informs.
“In order for it not to remain on the sidelines of world progress and development, now everyone is talking about multipolarity, and the South Caucasus needs to become one of the centers of this polycentric world,” Zakharova noted.
“Not so long ago, the same Armenian current political figures said that the CSTO had exited Armenia, I just want to clarify, has the CSTO already rejoined Armenia so that the country can leave? You can engage in this verbal balancing act as much as you like. This is completely unworthy and cheap. There are strategic interests of the state, problems that the region, unfortunately, has not yet managed to say goodbye to. This is what we need to think about - security, strategic cooperation, civil infrastructure, which should be created, including based on security in this region and stability for the sake of future generations,” she added.
