Baku and Yerevan are successfully moving towards normalization of bilateral relations, including thanks to Moscow's efforts, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov said during a briefing for foreign military attachés, Report informs via Russian media.
"In contrast to the destructive actions of the West, Russia is taking constructive measures in the South Caucasus region. Largely thanks to our state's efforts, there is obvious positive progress between Baku and Yerevan on the path to normalizing bilateral relations," he said.
He noted that the demarcation of "one of the most complex sections of the interstate border between Azerbaijan's Gazakh district and Armenia's Tavush region" has been completed.
