Russian Foreign Ministry summons Italian, Dutch ambassadors

The Italian Ambassador to Moscow, Giovanni Starace, was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry on Friday, Report informs via Russian media.

The Italian envoy was summoned to the ministry because of the recent cancellation of Russian singers' performances in Italy.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that Russia does not intend to impose restrictions on cultural figures from Italy, though Rome takes such steps.

The Ambassador of the Netherlands, Gilles Beschoor Plug, was also summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry yesterday.

The ministry demanded the Dutch authorities stop trying to groundlessly lay the responsibility for the downing of MH-17 on the Russian side.

The Ambassador of the Netherlands was told about the unacceptability of the policy of Amsterdam for Russia.
