Russian Federation Council approves use of armed forces abroad

The Russian Federation Council has agreed to the use of the armed force outside the country in connection with the situation in Donbas, Report informs, citing TASS.

A relevant decision was made unanimously at a special meeting of the upper house of parliament with 153 deputies voting in favor of this decision. The document comes into force from the moment of its adoption.

Chairwoman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko said at the meeting of the chamber that the use of the Russian armed forces abroad, especially in Donbas, will be aimed at establishing peace and preventing the firing of civilians.
