Russian expert: Yerevan does not control its security forces

"Zangazur corridor will become the first big project on the comprehensive restoration of communications in the South Caucasus region. It will stimulate the deblocking of all communication restrictions existing today. It will also be profitable for Armenia since it will become a transit country and will be able to earn on transportations," senior analyst at Vestnik Kavkaza Andrei Petrov told Report's Russian bureau.

Commenting on the recent provocations of the Armenian side on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the expert stressed the absence of any discipline among Armenian service members: "There is no command staff, which could control it. Yerevan does not control its security forces, and there are big problems of security there. The Russian peacekeepers are there to guarantee that at least someone from the Armenian side ensures this security."
