Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia Alexander Sukhanov, who oversaw transport security issues, will resign after the explosion on the Crimean bridge, Report informs referring to RBC.
One of the sources specified that the resignation could be announced before the end of this week. However, everything can change or be delayed, another source added.
Sukhanov has been deputy minister since July 2020, before that he worked as deputy head of the Federal Air Transport Agency.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said earlier that the damaged spans of the Crimean bridge would be dismantled before the end of the year. He noted that the metal for the restoration of the bridge has already been ordered, three metallurgical plants are operating.
