Russian and Belarusian assets worth $1.2B seized in Ukraine

Belarusian and Russian assets totaling 44 billion hryvnias (approximately $1.2 billion) have been seized in Ukraine, according to the report of Ukraine’s Economic Security Bureau, Report informs citing the Ukrainian media.

Of this amount, more than $500 million fell on wagons and ‘material assets’ in the wagons.

“Among the most significant seized assets are: wagons and inventory in wagons in the amount of about $500 million, assets of financial institutions in the amount of about $350 million, assets of a gas station network that are estimated at about $54 million, several shopping centers worth about $35 million, etc.,” the Cabinet of Ministers said.

The Economic Security Bureau has compiled a list of 23 legal entities associated with Russia and Belarus, which the Ukrainian side will ask for inclusion in international sanctions lists.
