Russian authorities allow to increase Afghan embassy staff

The Russian authorities gave permission to increase the staff of the Afghan embassy in the Russian Federation, Zamir Kabulov, special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Afghanistan, director of the Second Asia Department of the Foreign Ministry, said at the first meeting of special representatives of Afghanistan’s neighboring countries in Tashkent, Report informs.

“We allowed increasing the staff of the embassy. There was one employee, now there are three,” he said on the sidelines of the meeting.

The meeting was attended by representatives of Uzbekistan, Iran, China, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. The agenda included issues related to the current situation in Afghanistan, the interaction of the parties to resolve the situation in the country and establish long-term peace and stability, as well as the provision of humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people.
