Russian Army starts exercises in Arctic 

The Russian military began large-scale military exercises in the Arctic on April 19 with the participation of warships, nuclear and diesel submarines, as well as air defense systems, Report informs, citing RIA Novosti.

The exercises are led by Commander-in-chief of the Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief Admiral Nikolai A. Yevmenov.

The exercises include tasks on ensuring Russia’s economic interests in the Arctic and offshore rescue operations.
