Russia, Turkey confirm relevance of launching 3+3 mechanism

Deputy Foreign Ministers of Russia and Turkey Andrei Rudenko and Sedat Onal have confirmed the topicality of launching the 3+3 mechanism (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Russia, Turkey, Iran) in the South Caucasus in the near future, TASS cites the Russian Foreign Ministry, Report informs.

"The parties discussed a wide range of topical issues of Russian-Turkish cooperation in the South Caucasus and Central Asia," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday. In the context of the normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan, the importance of the consistent implementation of the trilateral agreements of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia of November 10, 2020, and January 11, 2021, was noted. The topicality of launching in the near future of a regional consultative mechanism for the South Caucasus 3+3 was emphasized.”
