Russia, Turkey assess operation of joint monitoring center in Karabakh

Russia and Turkey held consultations between foreign ministries at the level of deputy ministers in Moscow on June 8, Report informs referring to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

According to the press service of the ministry, the political aspects of resolving regional crises, including the Syrian, Nagorno-Karabakh, Palestinian-Israeli ones, were considered. An exchange of views took place on additional measures aimed at eliminating hotbeds of tension in conflict zones, maintaining stable ceasefire regimes, as well as building up humanitarian assistance and returning refugees through coordination of efforts on multilateral platforms.

The sides highly appreciated the activities of the Russian-Turkish Joint Center for Control over the Ceasefire and All Military Operations in Karabakh. The sides agreed to continue working on unblocking economic and transport links in the South Caucasus.
