Russia to allow only nearly 10,600 migrants in 2025

In 2025, Russia will grant permission for only 10,595 foreigners and stateless persons to live temporarily within its borders, Report informs via TASS.

Of this number, Moscow and its suburbs will receive a maximum of 1,350 migrants. St. Petersburg has been allocated 200 permits.

Tatarstan and Bashkortostan, which issued 500 permits each two years ago, will reduce their quotas to just 100 permits each this year (250 each in 2024).

Over the past five years, the quota has steadily decreased: 13,500 permits in 2023, about 19,000 in 2022, and more than 39,000 in 2021.
