Over the past day, medical experts recorded 86,769 new cases of coronavirus infection in Russia, Report informs referring to Russian media.
Almost 9,300 people with COVID-19 were hospitalized per day, 5.6% less than the day before.
The total number of registered cases in the country has reached 16,861,793 since the pandemic onset.
To date, a total of 355,537 people died due to COVID-related health complications in Russia, including 750 deaths seen over the past day. The number of recoveries is 14,418,916.
More than 444.12 million people globally have contracted the virus since the onset of the pandemic. The deadly pathogen has claimed over 6.01 million lives, though unable to cope with 376.9 million patients, who managed to recover.
