Over the past day, medical experts recorded 79,863 new cases of coronavirus infection in Russia, Report informs referring to Russian media.
The total number of registered cases in the country has reached 16,941,656 since the pandemic onset.
To date, a total of 356,281 people died due to COVID-related health complications in Russia, including 744 deaths seen over the past day. The number of recoveries is 14,567,976.
More than 445.5 million people globally have contracted the virus since the onset of the pandemic. The deadly pathogen has claimed over 6.01 million lives, though unable to cope with 378.6 million patients, who managed to recover.
