Russia loses its seat on Executive Council of Organization for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons

Russia has lost its seat on the Executive Council of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), Report informs referring to TASS.

This is evidenced by the voting held during the 28th Conference of the Organization’s Member States.

Russia received 65 votes with the required minimum of 66 votes. From the Eastern European Group, Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine received seats on the OPCW Executive Council.
