Recep Tayyip Erdogan votes in Turkish elections

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and First Lady Emine Erdogan voted in the presidential and parliamentary elections today at a polling station in Istanbul's Uskudar district, Report informs via Anadolu.

The voting in the presidential and parliamentary elections in Türkiye began at 08:00 local time (GMT+3) and will continue until 17:00.

There are more than 191,000 polling stations in the country, and 64,113,941 voters have been registered. Of these, about 5 million people will exercise their right to vote for the first time.

Three politicians are vying for the presidency - incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Republican People's Party chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and Sinan Oğan, an Ata İttifakı (Ancestral Alliance) candidate. The fourth candidate, the chairman of the Fatherland Party, Muharrem Ince, announced his withdrawal from the presidential race three days before the elections.
