QAZAQ AIR suspends flights from Astana to Yekaterinburg due to security concerns

QAZAQ AIR airline has temporarily suspended flights on the Astana-Yekaterinburg route from December 28, 2024, to January 27, 2025, according to the airline's announcement, Report informs via Kazakh media.

"The suspension of flights was implemented to ensure the safety of passengers and crew members based on the ongoing risk assessment of flights to Russia. The airline will continue operating flights to Omsk and Novosibirsk, which currently continue to meet QAZAQ AIR's risk assessment criteria. The resumption of flights to Yekaterinburg will be carried out following a repeated risk assessment," the company stated.

Passengers of canceled flights will be provided with a full refund of their airline tickets and offered free rebooking to alternative flights operated by the airline.
