Russian President Vladimir Putin revealed that he discussed with his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev the creation of new routes for pumping Russian oil and gas to China through Kazakhstan's territory, Report informs via Russian media.
"We discussed the possibilities of creating new routes for pumping our oil and gas products to third countries, primarily to the People's Republic of China. This includes routes through the territory of Yakutia or Kazakhstan," Putin said during a press conference in Astana
The Russian leader arrived in Astana on November 27 for a two-day state visit at Tokayev's invitation. High-level talks were held on Wednesday.
