Putin-Scholz meeting kicks off

The meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has kicked off in Moscow.

The talks are being held at a long table.

In his speech at the first meeting with the new Chancellor of Germany, the Russian President said: "I am glad to meet with you. Germany is one of Russia's priority partners, one of the important areas of our energy cooperation."
