Putin says the situation in Afghanistan directly related to Russia's security

"The situation in Afghanistan has a direct bearing on our security," Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with representatives of the United Russia party.

"These atrocities in Afghanistan have not been seen for a long time. We do not want militants disguised as refugees from Afghanistan," he added.
