Kremlin disagrees with Borrell's remark about 'authoritarian regime' in Russia

Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has refuted a statement by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell that Russia is ruled by an authoritarian regime, Report informs, citing Interfax.

"No, we absolutely disagree, firstly, with the assessment that we are talking about authoritarian regimes," he noted

The spokesman said that Russia had formed a unique political system and state system. The Kremlin spokesman is convinced that the European Union has no right to make such an assessment of Russia.

Peskov stressed that Russia does not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries and demands the same attitude from others.

According to Josep Borrell, a joint statement between China and Russia may be the foundation stone of a big alliance of two authoritarian regimes.
