The list of BRICS partner countries has been agreed upon, but will be made public after confirmation from these countries, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a press conference following the BRICS summit in Kazan, Report informs via Russian media.

"Many countries are showing interest in working in this association; 35 countries participated in the events in Kazan. We agreed with our partners that at the first stage, with a view to possible expansion, we will go along the path of agreeing on a list of partner countries. Such a list has been agreed upon," the head of the Russian Federation said.

He noted that some countries that participated in BRICS events have submitted their proposals and requests for full-fledged participation in the work of the association.

"The situation will develop further as follows. We will send invitations and proposals to future partner countries to participate in our work in this capacity and, upon receiving a positive response, we will announce who is on this list," Putin added.
