Protesters in Yerevan demand resignation of government

A protest rally is taking place in front of the building of the Armenian Cabinet of Ministers in Yerevan with the protesters demanding the resignation of the government led by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Report informs via the Armenian media that the protesters oppose the start of the border delimitation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The protest participants blocked some streets in the capital.

In addition to Yerevan, protests are also taking place in a number of regions of the country. Sections of the interstate road between Armenia and Iran, the Yerevan-Sevan and Yerevan-Gyumri roads are blocked.

On April 19, Azerbaijan and Armenia preliminarily agreed on the passage of certain sections of the border directly between the settlements in Armenia and Azerbaijan, respectively, Baganis-Baganis Ayrim, Voskepar-Ashagi Askipara, Kirants-Heyrimli and Berkaber-Gizilhajili.
