Protest underway outside Georgian embassy in Yerevan

A protest is taking place in front of the Georgian Embassy in Yerevan, organized by Armenian alcohol product manufacturers and exporters, Report informs via Armenian media outlets.

Protesters are voicing frustration over restrictions imposed by Georgian authorities. They claim that trucks transporting Armenian goods are being prevented from entering Russia and are required to undergo laboratory inspections on Georgian territory.

As a result, trucks have reportedly been stuck at the Armenia-Georgia border for weeks, causing significant financial losses for manufacturers, exporters, and transport companies. Protesters are demanding an official response from the Georgian Embassy regarding the issue.

During the demonstration, an embassy representative requested a list of affected companies and noted several names. However, protesters proceeded to block the road leading to the embassy in both directions.

The Armenian Ministry of Economy stated that intensive efforts are underway to resolve the situation.
