Processing industrial complex to be built on Turkmen-Afghan border

During a working video conference, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov discussed the proposed construction of a processing industrial complex on the Turkmen-Afghan border with government members.

Report informs that the proposal to establish such an enterprise was voiced by a Kazakh government delegation during a visit to Ashgabat.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov; Deputy Prime Minister for Agroindustrial Complex Esenmyrat Orazgeldiyev, and Deputy Prime Minister in charge of trade and the private sector Chary Gylydzhov, who is the co-chairman of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Kazakhstan commission on economic, scientific and technical and cultural cooperation reported to the online meeting on the topic in question.

The new industrial park is supposed to be located in the bordering Serhetabat district of Mary region, where there is a road and rail infrastructure for the operation of the processing enterprise.

Berdimuhamedov instructed the vice-premiers, together with Kazakh partners, to work out the details of the future project, the implementation of which will play a significant role in the development of cooperation and friendly ties and will create new jobs.
