Prigozhin threatens to march on Moscow, demands meeting with Shoigu, Gerasimov

Wagner PMC leader Yevgeny Prigozhin met with Russian Deputy Defense Minister Yunus-Bek Yevkurov at the headquarters of the Southern Military District in Rostov, Report informs.

In a video published on Telegram channels, Prigozhin demands to bring to him the Chief of the Russian General Staff Valery Gerasimov and the Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu.

"We have arrived here. We want to get the Chief of the General Staff and Shoigu. Until they are gone, we are here, blocking the city of Rostov and going to Moscow," Prigozhin said.

Several audio recordings were posted on Yevgeny Prigozhin's Telegram channel in which he claimed that his units had allegedly been attacked and blamed the Russian military brass for bombing his forces. In connection with these statements, the Russian FSB opened a criminal case on incitement to an armed rebellion. The Ministry of Defense denied Prigozhin's statement on bombing the group's rear. The Center for Public Relations of Russia's Federal Security Service urged Wagner fighters not to follow Prigozhin's orders and take steps to detain him.

Russian President's Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Vladimir Putin was informed about the situation regarding Prigozhin and "the necessary measures are being taken."
