Presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan meet over border clashes

The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, and his Tajik counterpart Imomali Rahmon held private talks over the recent border clashes, Report informs via the Kyrgyz press.

As reported, the leaders of the two countries agreed to give instructions to the relevant structures to cease fire and withdraw troops and vehicles from the contact line.

The heads of the National Security Committees of the two countries will establish a commission to investigate the circumstances and reasons for the incident.

As noted, an agreement was reached on speeding up the work of the Intergovernmental Commission of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on the delimitation and demarcation of the state border.
