Georgia's Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced the preliminary results of the local elections, Report informs.
As of early October 3, the CEC had already counted the votes from 1,446 (38.63%) out of 3,743 polling stations.
According to the results, the ruling Georgian Dream Party won 48.56% of the vote, while the opposition United National Movement Party won 31.23%.
Former Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia's For Georgia party ranked third with 6.87%.
