Ports of Ukraine preparing for grain export

As part of the signed agreement on the export of grain, work has been resumed in Ukraine in the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk and Yuzhny. Departure and entry of ships to seaports will be carried out by forming a caravan, the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Report informs, citing RBC-Ukraine.

"Today we are working together on navigational and hydrographic support for the safety of navigation in one of the ports of the Odesa region. First of all, these are works that determine the safe routes for the movement of ships that will transport Ukrainian grain," said the head of the branch of the state institution Odesa district of the State Hydrography Igor Tymchuk.

Military and civilian specialists carefully search for underwater objects, install special navigational equipment that will help the safety of navigation. Hydrographic survey work is also ongoing - determining the depth, approach channels and recommended routes.

“In our work, everything is simple and complex at the same time. But the main thing was, is and will be the safety of navigation. This is what we are doing now,” said 1st Rank Captain Roman Goncharenko, head of the Center for Navigation, Hydrography and Hydrometeorology of the Ukrainian Navy.
