The civilian mission of the EU sent to Armenia plays the role of intelligence, this is not a peacekeeping mission to normalize relations between Baku and Yerevan, Russian political scientist Yevgeny Mikhailov told Report.
“First of all, the mission will be engaged in monitoring Russian peacekeepers, developing a plan to squeeze Russia out of Armenia and the South Caucasus. Yerevan now takes an unfriendly position towards Moscow in this matter,” Mikhailov said.
The expert stressed that Armenia refuses to fulfill the points of the tripartite agreement signed between the leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia on November 10, 2020. “Armenia is openly blocking any progress towards the signing of a peace treaty,” he added.
According to Mikhailov, the world powers are using Armenia in the fight against Russia: “France is a supporter of Armenia, Macron said that he supports Armenia in the fight against Russia. Armenia is already playing on three fronts, their so-called partners increasingly cause bewilderment every day to which Russia must and will respond.”
