Peskov unveils possible date of Putin-Biden meeting

"A possible meeting between US President Joseph Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin could take place on March 19 or 22," Russian President's Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in response to a question about the date of talks between Putin and Biden, Report informs.

According to him, Putin said that the talks would be held either on Friday or Monday (March 19 or 22). Peskov noted that measures are taken through diplomatic channels for discussions between the two leaders. According to the spokesman, the presidents will meet through video conferencing.

He also stressed that the United States initiated the first contact between the presidents, while this time, the meeting was launched by Putin.

Earlier, US presidential spokesman Jen Psaki said that the White House had not decided to meet Putin directly because of Biden's busy schedule in Georgia.
