Ukraine's refusal to extend the contract for the transit of Russian gas will cause serious damage to the interests of European consumers, Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said, Report informs referring to TASS.
"Of course, such a decision by the Ukrainian side will cause serious damage to the interests of European consumers," he told journalists.
He noted that Russia has alternative supply routes to Europe.
"There are alternative routes, there are plans to create a hub in Türkiye, work is underway on this matter," he told journalists.
