Pashinyan’s party won’t create electoral bloc

The party of acting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, ‘Civil Contract,' will participate in the early parliamentary elections independently and won’t create any blocs with other political forces, a member of the organization’s board, leader of the ruling My Step bloc Lilit Makunts said, Report informs referring to TASS.

“The ‘Civil Contract’ won’t create an electoral bloc. We plan to participate in the elections as a separate party,” she said.

The parliamentary opposition factions ‘Enlightened Armenia’ and ‘Prosperous Armenia’ have already stated that after Pashinyan’s resignation they won’t nominate their candidates for prime minister. According to experts, the main competitors of Pashinyan’s party will be the blocs of former presidents Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan.
