Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan considers it quite possible to open communications with Azerbaijan before signing a peace treaty, as well as delimit the border, Report informs referring to Sputnik Armenia.
“It is quite possible to form a real peace through practical steps, and then only sign an agreement. But in any case, a peace treaty must be signed,” the prime minister told journalists in parliament.
The problem that the parties are trying to solve is very complex, and the process cannot move forward with textbook approaches alone, he said. But on the other hand, he agrees that general principles need to be fixed, he added.
Last week, the Armenian Foreign Ministry stated that Yerevan is ready to complete work on a peace treaty and sign it within a month.
