Over 2,000 people evacuated from border areas of Russia's Kursk region in 1 day

More than 2,000 people were evacuated from the border areas of Russia's Kursk region in a day, and more than 8,000 people left in total, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Report informs referring to TASS.

Almost 900 tons of humanitarian aid were delivered to residents of the region.

On August 13, the acting governor of the Kursk region, Alexey Smirnov, at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, reported that 28 settlements were under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
