Over 1,500 people held responsible for violating emergency in Kazakhstan

The law enforcement bodies of Kazakhstan have brought to account over 1,500 people for violating the emergency regime, Kazakhstani President's press service said by the results of the session in the Operational Headquarters presided by country's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Report informs, citing TASS, that the president was reported on the active measures taken by the law enforcement bodies and armed forces to further stabilize the situation in the country.

"93 roadblocks were established all around the settlements to check people and vehicles and control the strategic facilities," the press service said.

Earlier, the Kazakh Internal Ministry said that on January 7, the law enforcement bodies established 70 round-the-clock roadblocks across the country due to the unrest.
