Further deepening of relations between Turkic states is one of our priorities, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Kubanychbek Omuraliev, said in his speech at the international conference themed "Study and Preservation of the Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Turkic World from the Perspective of UNESCO" in Baku, Report informs.

"Each of us should do our best to develop relations between the Turkic states. Since its establishment, OTS has been able to create close cooperation in political, economic, educational, cultural, tourism, health, and other fields. Further deepening of relations between the Turkic states is one of our main priorities. In particular, the ‘Turkic World Vision 2040’ program includes the development of cultural relations among OTS member states. However, we should not forget that there are still many steps to be taken in these areas," he noted.

Omuraliyev added that it is necessary to expand relations with the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) in order to promote Turkish cultural heritage: "As the National Leader of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev, said, we should live together and step together. In order to be included in the cultural heritage of UNESCO, we should explore the cultural and historical monuments of the states of the Turkic world and expand our activities for this purpose."

To note that the event was jointly organized by the National Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan for UNESCO, the International Turkic Academy, the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, the Turkish National Commission for UNESCO, as well as the Institute for Development and Diplomacy at ADA University.
