No electricity, heat and water supply in Chernihiv, local authorities say

The Ukrainian city of Chernihiv has been cut off electricity, heat and water supply due to the destruction of strategic infrastructure facilities and ongoing hostilities, head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration Vyacheslav Chaus said on his Telegram channel

Report informs citing the Ukrainian media that, according to Chaus, gas supply is carried out partially, restoration work is conducted whenever possible.

Over the past 24 hours, eight fires have been registered in the area, of which one was caused by the shelling carried out by the Russian army.

A total of 386 fires have been extinguished since the start of hostilities, of which 257 were caused by shelling. 44 people were rescued, including 10 children.

"During the day, a group of pyrotechnicians of the State Emergency Service went out six times to neutralize unexploded ordnance. In all, 115 explosive objects have been discovered and seized since the beginning of the war," Chaus said.
