NATO exercises begin in Georgia

Multinational military exercises code-named Agile Spirit 2023 kicked off at a training ground near Georgia's capital, Report informs referring to Xinhua.

According to the Defense Ministry of Georgia, more than 3,600 military personnel from 22 NATO member and partner countries, including the United States, Britain, Italy, Poland, Azerbaijan and Japan, will participate in the joint drills.

The exercises, which will take place in various regions of the west and east of the country, will feature joint training of different branches of the military, as well as combined operations of special forces, said the ministry.

The joint drills are aimed at enhancing interoperability and training and improving operational capabilities of exercise participants during planning and execution of operations in real time within multinational environment, said the ministry in a statement.
