Naftogaz says many oil assets in Ukraine lost

Since the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine, many oil and refining assets have been lost, and the situation in the country's fuel sector remains difficult, Head of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine Yuriy Vitrenko said in an interview with NV, Report informs.

"Since February 24, firstly, we have lost many of our oil and processing assets. The same Shebelinsky gas processing plant. That was because of missiles. It does not operate and cannot work in the near future," Vitrenko said.

He noted that a similar situation is with the Kremenchug oil refinery, which also stopped work due to hostilities.

“For military reasons, we cannot talk about this, but our oil and processing infrastructure is very badly damaged, the same oil depots, Ukrnafta has a lot of damage,” he stressed.

He said that the situation with underground refineries is better, but some of them ended up in territories not controlled by Kyiv. About 50% of Ukraine's natural gas production is located in the Kharkiv region, where hostilities are taking place.
