MP: Armenia is trying to build atmosphere of trust with Azerbaijan

Armenia, in small steps, is trying to build an atmosphere of trust with Azerbaijan, and the delimitation of the border in the Tavush section corresponds to this policy, Vladimir Vardanyan, an Armenian MP from the Civil Contract faction, head of the commission on state and legal issues, said, Report informs via Sputnik-Armenia.

“Real policy is built on trying to find those areas (borders) where it is possible to reach consensus and continue to move forward. In the end, mutual trust through small steps is much more important than some epoch-making decisions,” he said.

At the same time, Vardanyan believes that there are forces that do not want border stability in Armenia and its increased security. “Everything must be done to ensure that there is the most precise, demarcated border with all neighbors, which would comply with the Alma-Ata Declaration of 1991,” he emphasized.
