Moscow to cancel mandatory mask requirements

The mandatory mask requirements and measures to combat COVID-19 at enterprises and organizations, established by decree of the mayor of Moscow, will be canceled in the capital from March 15, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin wrote in his blog, Report informs citing TASS.

“The steady improvement of the epidemic situation allows us to make a long-awaited decision. From March 15, 2022, we will cancel the requirements for the use of protective masks.”

In addition, mandatory measures against the spread of coronavirus at enterprises and organizations established by decree of the Mayor of Moscow will be canceled: regular measurement of the body temperature of workers, installation of dividing partitions at workplaces, etc.

“Under the current conditions, this decision will also support businesses that are already under severe sanctions pressure,” the mayor wrote.
