Mirzoyan: Armenia takes all steps to normalize relations with Türkiye

Armenia is continuing dialogue with Türkiye and taking all necessary practical steps, Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated at the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA), Report informs via Armenian media.

"We are confident that a complete solution, particularly the establishment of diplomatic relations and the opening of borders during this period, will make a significant contribution to regional peace and stability. We continue this dialogue and have taken practical steps. We have also agreed to jointly restore the Ani Bridge located on the border between the two countries. This complements the decisions already made regarding the establishment of direct air transport and cargo transportation by air. At the same time, we have agreed on opening the border for persons with diplomatic passports and citizens of third countries," Mirzoyan said.

He added that the implementation of these agreements will benefit not only Armenia and Türkiye but the entire region, as the restoration of transport routes will become a decisive factor for regional peace and stability.
