From today on, Mikheil Saakashvili refuses medical supervision, the former Georgian president’s Ukrainian doctor Maxim Perebeinis told journalists in Rustavi, Report informs.
According to the doctor, Saakashvili will not agree to conduct tests and medical procedures to alleviate the hunger strike.
The doctor said that he was not allowed to examine the politician.
Perebeinis stressed the need to keep Saakashvili under medical supervision.
The former Georgian president was detained in Tbilisi on October 1. The politician, who has been on hunger strike since that day, agreed to receive medical help on October 20.
