Meeting of Russian, Armenian FMs underway in Moscow

A meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and newly appointed Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, who has arrived in Moscow on a working visit, is underway in Russia’s capital, the Russian bureau of Report informs.

Commenting on the agenda of the upcoming talks, Lavrov noted that not only the issues of bilateral cooperation will be touched upon.

“The international topic will take a significant place in our negotiations. The situation in Karabakh is a separate topic. There are several issues here that are directly discussed by the leaders of the three countries as well. The Russian peacekeeping contingent plays an important role. The topic of unblocking communications in the region will also be touched upon,” he added.
