Medinsky: Russia ready to begin prisoner exchange with Ukraine on June 7-9

Russia is ready to start a prisoner exchange with Ukraine on June 7-9, Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky said, Report informs referring to Russian media.

He also noted that Ukraine may have the bodies of dead Russian soldiers, but there are far fewer of them, and Russia will be ready to accept them.

Medinsky also stated that the Ukrainian side, during the talks in Istanbul, proposed starting with a 30- or 60-day truce to prepare for a meeting between the leaders of the Russian Federation and Ukraine, Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The Russian delegation conveyed Putin's position that a meeting at the level of heads of state with Ukraine is possible with proper preparation.
