Media: Turkiye didn’t receive intelligence from US, other countries about new terror attacks

Turkiye didn’t receive intelligence from the US about terror attacks being prepared in the country, Report informs referring to the Yeni Safak newspaper.

Earlier, the US Embassy warned its citizens about the danger of terror attacks in the center of Istanbul, saying that churches, synagogues, diplomatic missions and other places popular among foreigners, especially the Istanbul districts of Beyoglu, Galata, Taksim, Istiklal Street could become targets. Since then, a number of countries have closed their consulates.

“None of these countries, which reported a possible terror attack with a clear address in their messages, contacted the Turkish security authorities. Intelligence and security sources said that no intelligence information or warning was received from the US and other countries,” reads the report.
