Media: Pashinyan afraid that military will stage coup

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan fears that the military will stage a coup, said Hraparak newspaper, Report informs.

The article mentions that the government's proposal to amend the law on banning military personnel from making political appeals and their participation in rallies is related to this:

"The project has already been submitted to the parliament and will be adopted next week. According to the Constitution, the Armed Forces must maintain neutrality in political matters. Why is the government taking this step?"

Citing sources in the government, the publication said that despite the apparent calmness of the authorities, Pashinyan's fears are growing at the speed of light:

"He understands that the military can carry out a revolutionary wave in connection with the advancement of the Azerbaijani Army. Therefore, the government is trying to prevent such a dangerous scenario."
