Mariupol administration: Russian troops attack Azovstal steelworks after UN convoy left

Russian troops continue assault on the Azovstal steelworks in Mariupol. After the UN convoy left the Donetsk oblast, the Russian troops again attempted to break through, Advisor to Mariupol mayor Peter Andryushchenko said on Telegram channel, Report informs, citing RBC-Ukraine.

"Expectedly, after the UN convoy left the Donetsk region, the invaders launched an assault on Azovstal. In particular, they made an attempt to break through the bridge. But the defenders repelled another enemy attack," Peter Andryushchenko said.

According to the Azov regiment, which defends Mariupol, the fighters liquidated more than 2,500 Russian soldiers in the besieged city and wounded another 5,000.
