Man rescued in Turkiye after spending 141 hours under rubble

A middle-aged man was rescued in Turkiye's Kahramanmaras after spending 141 hours under the rubble, Report informs.

Currently, search and rescue operations are continuing.

A 725-strong team from the Azerbaijani Emergency Situations Ministry has been helping Turkiye eliminate the consequences of the devastating earthquakes that shook the country on February 6.

The natural disaster caused destruction and thousands of casualties in Turkiye and neighboring Syria.

The earthquakes were also felt in Lebanon, Cyprus, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Iran and Egypt.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced seven days of mourning in the country to commemorate those who lost their lives in the disaster. Besides, a 3-month state of emergency was declared in 10 provinces of the country.
